The culmination of the inspiration, the quest and the struggle leads to the most  enthralling phase of all – the production. Problems of emotion, aesthetics and form are resolved in meeting the great challenge to produce what began as an outpouring from the heart and imagination.

The production is motivated by passion, designed through experimental play, evaluated by experience and then driven to a final resolution by a commitment to the creative self.

Each production – be it writing a music score, planting a garden bed, sewing a needlepoint sampler, arranging furniture in the office – has similar elements requiring imagination and practical skills. Each has stages when problems will need to be solved reflecting your truth.

The camera, the brush, the musical instrument, the pen or the computer should not drive this production: they are only the tools for an expression of your soul.

Boulder Bay over decades.  The top image was 1983, the centre 2005 and the lower image 2016.  These incredible boulders can be found in Freycinet National Park, Tasmania and like many images, I create those with a lasting impact can be re-visited time and again.
